I love winter mornings on the Potomac near my home—thin wisps of mist gently rise from the water’s surface, swirling like ghostly veils in the crisp, cold air. The mist clings to the river’s edge, weaving through bare branches and shimmering over the glassy currents.  This is where reality blurs and the world feels hushed and still. It invites me to pause, breathe deeply, and savor the moment before my busy day begins.
